HAVANA TIMES — Cuban musician Francisco “Pancho” Cespedes, on November 15, will release the CD Armando un Pancho, along with legendary Mexican composer Armando Manzanero, reports EFE.
The idea of recording the disk arose after the two musicians begin a series of performances together, the last one of which took place in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes
Manzanero is considered the most important Mexican composer in the last 40 years and an outstanding figure in the history of romantic song, while the Cuban artist has won two platinum records and has composed for artists such as Luis Miguel, Alejandro Fernandez and Gilberto Santa Rosa.
