HAVANA TIMES, March 23 – Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi travels soon to Havana to present his latest film “The Separation”, which is this year’s winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Film, as well as a prizewinner in the Golden Globe and Golden Bear awards.
The director will attend “Iranian Film Week” from April 9 to 16 in Havana, which will include eight of the most recent productions from that country, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
Farhardi — who is also a winner of a Cesar Award in France, a Critics Choice Award and an Independent Spirit Award — will exchange experiences with students at the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Baños, located outside of the capital.
The Alhucema Solidarity Initiatives Association based in Seville, Spain also sends medical supplies to Cuba.
