Washington Post Ad on Cuban Five

HAVANA TIMES, April 27 — The US Committee to Free the Cuban Five announced that on Monday a full page ad will be published in The Washington Post demanding freedom for the five Cuban intelligence operatives imprisoned in that country.

According to a Prensa Latina news note, the collection of money for the ad in the influential daily was made possible by the cooperation of hundreds of people who support the cause.

In 2004 the committee managed to publish a similar announcement in The New York Times.

The daily Washington Post has a circulation of over 500,000 copies a day and is read by more than a million people daily.
