Cuba Baseball Team Travels to Nicaragua

HAVANA TIMES — Cuba’s national baseball team leaves today for Nicaragua, where starting on Saturday it will play five exhibition games against the squad from that Central American country, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The Cuban team roster is as follows:

-Catchers: Yosvani Alarcon, Yulexis La Rosa and Lednier Ricardo.

-Infielders: Alexander Malleta, Yordanis Samon, Juan Carlos Torriente, Raul Gonzalez, Yurisbel Gracial, Erisbel Arruebarruena and Yordan Manduley.

-Outfielders: Alfredo Despaigne, Rusney Castillo, Alexei Bell, Guillermo Heredia and Yadiel Hernandez.

-Pitchers: Vladimir Garcia, Freddy Asiel Alvarez, Ismel Jimenez, Yander Guevara, Dalier Hinojosa, Jorge Alberto Martinez, Yoanni Yera, Erlis Casanova, Pablo Millan Fernandez and Danni Aguilera.

-Guest player: Mario Vega.

The team is working under the managing of Roger Machado, and Jorge Fuentes will serve as its technical head.
