Seven hundred dengue cases reported in Villa Clara
HAVANA TIMES — A total of 700 dengue cases in the central province of Villa Clara were confirmed on Saturday on local radio by the vice president of the provincial government, Diario de Cuba reported.
Most outbreaks were found in private homes, and according to the note, there are approximately 900 cases still to be confirmed.
According to the version of Radio Martí, the Villa Clara official criticized the “poor job” in the campaign against the mosquito, “a lack of manpower” and “uncontrolled resources.” The official also announced “investments” to be made in 2014 “to fix the deteriorated water distribution system.”
