Havana Weather for Jan. 16 – 22
Lower temperatures and sunny days
Eduardo A. Fernández Díaz
HAVANA TIMES — The transit of a cold front and then the influence of a continental anticyclone migration will lead to significantly lower temperatures compared to the previous period in the capital. The days will be sunny with a low probability of rain; excellent weather for those that like it a bit cooler, although mostly dry, for walking around the city.
December was warmer than its historical average. January is usually the coldest month of the year in Cuba. Hopefully this time the weather will behave as we are accustomed with a higher frequency of cold fronts and their associated rainfall.
The high temperatures will average 25° C (77 F) and the lows around 16° C (61 F).
Winds will be moderate blowing from the north.
The sea surface temperature will reach 25° C (77 F). There will be swells with danger for small boats.
