Havana Weather for May 7-13
Some afternoon showers
Eduardo Diaz Fernandez
HAVANA TIMES – A low pressure area extends from the east of Florida and the Bahamas to Cuba in its southernmost part. This situation is conducive to the occurrence of isolated thunderstorms. Which together with the heating during the day will lead to this week being sunny or partly cloudy days with showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon.
An area of showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure area east of Florida has a high probability of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next two days. This is not a situation of concern to Cuba as it moves northwestward over the next few days, causing rains in the coastal part of Georgia and South Carolina.
Winds will be from the east and northeast with speeds between 15 and 20 km / h (8 to 10 knots) with gusts from Saturday exceeding 30 km / h (16 knots).
Temperatures will reach 34° C (93° F) by Monday. The lows will remain stable around 24° C (75° F). The humidy will increase from Monday resulting in a greater feeling of warmth.
The sea surface temperature will reach 27° C (81° F). There will be no danger for small boats.
