Vatican Names New Cuba Ambassador

HAVANA TIMES, July 23 – Pope Benedict XVI appointed Giovanni Angelo Becciu as the new apostolic nuncio (ambassador) to Cuba on Thursday, reported the Holy See press room. Becciu, 61, has been the representative of the Catholic Church in Angola and Sao Tomé and Príncipe.
