HAVANA TIMES – The probability of isolated showers and occasional storms in the capital will continue to rise, especially in the afternoon hours. The winds will be variable and weak during the mornings, and will increase slightly their intensity in the afternoons, with speeds between 10 and 20 km/h.

The maximum temperatures will reange between 29 and 31° C (84 and 88 F), with the lows around 24° C (75 F). The sea surface temperature will be 27° C (81 F).

Meteorological conditions

A high level trough extends from the northeast of the Gulf of Mexico to the Yucatan Peninsula, while to the east an anticyclonic flow is maintained. Isolated squalls will be registered that will be strong in some localities in western Cuba. During the rest of the week there will persist a flow of moderate trade winds.

The formation of a tropical cyclone during the next 5 days is not expected for the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.
