Cuba Playoffs Round 2 Starts Wed.

HAVANA TIMES, March 8 — The Western Division playoffs between Havana Province and Industriales starts Wednesday and Thursday with games one and two in San Jose de las Lajas, home of Havana Province, last year’s league champions.

The third, fourth and fifth game if necessary would take place at the capital’s Latinoamericano Stadium, home of Industriales.

The Eastern Division playoff finals between Villa Clara, last year’s league runner-ups and Ciego de Avila open with games one and two on Thursday and Friday in Santa Clara, home of Villa Clara.

In the quarterfinals, Industriales upset Sancti Spiritus in five games and Havana Province did the same with Cienfuegos.  Villa Clara defeated Santiago de Cuba in six and Ciego de Avila swept its series in four games.
