US Attempts to Mediate Prisoners’ Exit
HAVANA TIMES, July 20 — The U.S. Interests Section in Cuba summoned today the relatives of Cuban political prisoners who have rejected the possibility of traveling to Spain after their upcoming release, Laura Pollán, spokeswoman for the Ladies in White and wife of dissident Héctor Maseda, told the press. Representatives from the Spanish embassy in the island are also invited to the meeting, reported IPS.
What is the US motive in this? Is it to facilitate ALL of the dissidents and families to leave their homeland so they can then say, “See how terrible things are in Cuba” ? That would make better propaganda for them.
