Silvio Rodríguez asks Obama for Internet for Third World
HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 23 — Cuban singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez asked U.S. President Barack Obama and Google to finance “a satellite belt that would provide Internet to the Third World,” in a message published in his blog Segunda Cita. Rodríguez was one of the founders of the New Song Movement, one of the island’s most important musical currents in the 20th century, reported IPS.
