HAVANA TIMES, Jan 23 — The jury for the Casa de las Americas Literary Award today resumed their activities in Havana after having concluded — in the city of Cienfuegos — all of the readings of the competing works, reports the Prensa Latina news agency.
Also at the Casa de las Americas Center, a panel will be held on language and culture in artistic creation in the Caribbean and the other on the dramaturgy of theater today.
The experts attending are from Haiti, France, El Salvador, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Cuba.
Decisions on the writing competition will be announced this coming Thursday in the categories of drama, children’s and youth literature; and literature from Brazil, the Caribbean and by Latinos in the US. A special award will be presented related to the black presence in the Americas and the Caribbean.
