Cuba-Germany Scientific Exchanges Boosted

HAVANA TIMES, April 24 — Hans Zehetmair, the president of the Hans Seidel German Political Foundation, is on the island to diversify that organization’s ties of cooperation with the island, reported the website of the Cuban Foreign Ministry this weekend.

Staff training, collaboration and scientific exchanges are some of the issues that could deepen and expand links between the German organization with centers in the Caribbean country, the report said.

Zehetmair’s visit is in response to an invitation from the Communist Party of Cuba. During his meeting with Cuban officials, he discussed the current state of relations between Cuba and Germany and the European Union, as well express his strong desire to see these improve.
