Sports Cooperation Between Cuba and Mexico Expanding
HAVANA TIMES — The director of Mexico’s National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports, Bernardo de la Garza Herrera, culminated a quick visit to Cuba on Friday to expand the agenda of sports cooperation between the two nations.
“We have the opportunity to enlarge our agenda of collaboration in baseball,” said De la Garza, who mentioned the possibility of visits by Mexican champions to the island and vice versa, as well as exchanges between trainers and technicians.
According to the Prensa Latina news agency, the official also announced that a Cuban delegation of athletes in several sports will travel to Mexico to participate in an exhibition event. He did not discard the possibility of inviting high-profile athletes like Dayron Robles.
