Fidel Castro Publishes Letter on Food Plants
HAVANA TIMES — Former Cuban President Fidel Castro again praised the properties of the plants Moringa oleifera and Morera in a letter responding to a reader. His reply was published by the official Cubadebate website.
The leader of the Cuban revolution highlighted the benefits of Moringa, noting its high protein content and it high yield, which “may exceed 300 tons per hectare in a year.”
In another part of his letter, Fidel criticized the US production of shale gas through the use of hydraulic fracturing, which presents “proven risks to the health of the citizens of that country.”
The Cuban leader is in the news for the fourth time recently after a wave of rumors circulated in recent weeks about the seriousness of his health and his possible death.
