Tremor Recorded in Villa Clara, Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — The network of stations of the Cuban National Seismological Service reported an earthquake on Monday that measured 3.3 on the Richter scale. It was said to be centered in the municipality of Encrucijada, in central Villa Clara province, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The quake, which occurred at 7:19 p.m. local time and was located at a depth of six miles, was felt in the towns of Encrucijada, Santa Clara, Caibarien, Cifuentes and Camajuani.
An hour later there occurred an after-quake of 2.7 on that same scale; however no human injuries or physical damage was reported.
