NBA Player to Attend Havana Cigar Festival

HAVANA TIMES — NBA player Gary Payton will participate in the 15th Habano Festival, to be held this week at Havana’s Convention Center, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

In addition to Payton, one of the best point guards in the NBA in the ‘90s and 2000s, attendance has been announced by German tennis player Boris Becker and Italian tenor Dario Balzanelli, considered the heir to Luciano Pavarotti.

The most important promotional festival of premium “Habano” cigars will take place at the historical military and recreational, the Morro-Cabaña fortress complex. The closing performance there will feature Balzanelli, who will sing “La Comparsa” accompanied by Omara Portuondo, and the dance group of Santiago Alfonso.
