Death Toll Hits 11 in Poisoning Tragedy

HAVANA TIMES – With the passing on Friday of another person, a total of eleven Cubans have died from methyl alcohol intake, which occurred last Monday night in the Havana municipality of  La Lisa, reported the Cuban News Agency.

Public Health official Efren Acosta said the citizen Ramon Garcia Aguilar, 61, from San Miguel del Padrón, died at his residence from  poisoning by drinking the lethal beverage.

Five people remain in critical condition, three of them life-threatening, at the Joaquin Albarran Surgical Hospital, while 55 others remain hospitalized, and are stable.
