Chinese Plane Reaches Santiago de Cuba with Aid
HAVANA TIMES — A plane from China arrived today at the Antonio Maceo Airport in Santiago de Cuba loaded with aid for addressing the destruction caused by Hurricane Sandy in the eastern part of the island almost a month ago.
According to the Prensa Latina news agency, the plane landed with a cargo of 100 tons of materials including electric generators, water purifiers, communications equipment, medicine, tents and other resources.
Hailing from the city of Shanghai, this latest contribution of humanitarian by the government and the Chinese Red Cross will add to the donations already received from Venezuela, Bolivia, Russia, etc.
