Cuba Purchases $10 million in Excavators
HAVANA TIMES – The Cuban government bought from KRANEX, a Russian company specializing in mechanical engineering, a total of 52 excavators for the amount of US$ 10 million, reported Diario de Cuba.
The contract was signed in 2011. The first batch of excavators was sent in 2012 and the company has now completed the delivery to the island.
According to a note by RIA Novosti, a group of Russian technicians also traveled to Cuba “to teach how to drive the bulldozers” and provide maintenance services.
