HAVANA TIMES, Dec. 7 — Cuban president Raul Castro heads up his country’s delegation to the fourth summit of CARICOM-Cuba, to be held tomorrow in Trinidad and Tobago, announced the Granma newspaper today.
Prior to his participation in this summit, the Cuban leader will carry out an official tour of the island, honoring an invitation from the prime minister of that Caribbean country, Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
The Caricom-Cuba summit is a mechanism of political exchange and cooperation at the highest governmental level between the Caribbean community and Cuba. The meeting takes place every three years and was established in Havana in 2002.
