Group of Americans Travelling in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Jan 5 — Students and professors from a California university visited an art school yesterday in the Cuban city of Cienfuegos as part of their tour of several of the island’s provinces, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The group from Diablo Valley College (Pleasant Hill, California), is interested in learning first-hand about social, economic and political life in Cuba.

On December 27 they began the journey that will include the provinces of Havana, Pinar del Rio, Santiago de Cuba as well as Cienfuegos.

The educational and cultural exchange is taking place though US law continues to restrict travel to Cuba by citizens from that country.
