High temperatures and weak winds
By Yanet Diaz
HAVANA TIMES – The oceanic anticyclone of the Azores continues to exert influence on Cuba. As a result, a predominantly easterly wind will continue to blow in western Cuba with speeds between 15 and 20 km/h, which can reach up to 25 km/h in coastal areas.
High temperatures are expected and the chance of rain is low, especially during the first half of the term.
High temperatures will range between 32 and 34° C (90 and 93 F), and the lows at 23 and 24° C (73 and 75 F).
The sea surface temperature will be stable at 29° C (84 F).
In the area of the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the coming five days.
