Livan Hernandez Retires from MLB
HAVANA TIMES – ??Cuban pitcher Livan Hernandez announced this week his retirement as a player in the majors after 17 years and being selected twice to the All Star team, reports AFP.
Today a coach and ambassador to the Washington Nationals, he said, “This is the right time to do it,” and ends his career with balance of 178-177 and a lifetime 4.44 ERA.
Hernandez, 38 years, was considered the most popular pitcher for the Nationals. He previously wore uniforms with the San Francisco Giants, Arizona Diamondbacks and Florida Marlins.
