Nicaragua’s Ortega Visits Cuba
HAVANA TIMES, April 2 – Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega began a visit to Cuba on Thursday where he and his host Raul Castro will review bilateral affairs. Ortega is the ninth Latin American president to travel to Havana this year.
Ortega is traveling with Rosario Murillo, his wife and cabinet chief, and other officials. The delegation was met at the Jose Marti Airport by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
From Managua, El Nuevo Diario newspaper quoted Deputy Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Manuel Coronel as saying Ortega, 63, would also undergo medical exams as he has done in Havana on numerous occasions.
