Northern Cuba Cays Now Linked
HAVANA TIMES, Jan 13 — The recently completed La Pasa bridge now connects Cayo Coco, Cayo Romano and Paredon Grande — which are islets that make up the Jardines del Rey tourism complex on the northern coast of Ciego de Avila Province, reported Prensa Latina.
According to the news note, an investment of more than one million dollars was made that included the construction of a 125-mile-long paved and signposted roadway, along with the demolition of the swing bridge structure that had been under construction for several years.
The new bridge will enable quick and safe travel to ??the Jardines del Rey resort area, one of the most important tourism centers in Cuba. This complex consists of close to 4,900 rooms in 14 hotels on beaches with well-conserved and extraordinary beauty coral.
