Raul Castro Chats with China’s Xi Jinging

HAVANA TIMES, June 6 — Cuban President Raul Castro met on Sunday afternoon with visiting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinging. The only information provided by the official Cuban press stated:  “During the fraternal meeting, the authorities conversed on the excellent state of bilateral relations and exchanged on other topics of international interest.”

“A total of 13 agreements in areas of mutual interest were signed at the conclusion of the official talks,” noted Granma newspaper without giving any details.

China is Cuba’s second leading trade partner after Venezuela.

Xi Jinging is on a three-nation Latin American/Caribbean tour that will also take him to Uruguay and Chile.
