Sculpture of José Martí Going to Berlin
HAVANA TIMES – A life-size sculpture of Cuba’s national hero, José Martí, will be brought to Berlin, Germany, on the occasion of commemorating the 160th anniversary of his birth, Cuban TV reported.
Made by artist Félix Madrigal for the German Cuba Solidarity Group The star of Cuba, the piece is cast in fiberglass and polyester resin, and is 1.65 meters tall.
The author, who had already made a first bust of the Cuban hero for the Mexican city of Lagos de Moreno, told the television news that the work will be located near the Cuban embassy in Germany.
