Whereabouts Unknown of Opposition Artists
HAVANA TIMES, March 29 — The whereabouts of a group of young Cuban dissident artists are unknown, reported the Cubaencuentro website. Included among them are the graffitist El Sexto, rocker Ciro Diaz, and actor-musician-photographer Ismael de Diego.
De Diego’s family reported him missing since Tuesday morning, when he went home and hasn’t been seen since. The cell phones of the young people have also been blocked, as well as that of Ismael’s mother, Roxana.
According to the news note, the family suspects the group of youths was picked up by Cuban State Security during the visit of Pope Benedict XVI to the island.
