HAVANA TIMES – Until When? is a question that has echoed among Cubans for decades, born of the urgent longing for improvement in the country’s critical situation and the inability to see when that change might finally become possible.

The phrase comes to my mind again and again in the face of the absurdity of feeling part of a nation that constantly wounds itself.

Steve, the Chinese are focused on commerce, the want their money back. Messing with the US is secondary unless there’s a payback and as we all know, the Cuban regime doesn’t have the assets or resources to payback. The Chinese also see that the Cuban are on life support economically and a sudden regime change could cause a default. No, the Europeans would be a better choice or, heaven forbid, the US.

Why doesn’t China go in and build a train the length of the island, solar farms and wind turbines.etc
