African Culture Exhibit in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — An exhibit of African culture — which includes weapons, masks and musical instruments — is on display at the Casa de Africa Museum in Havana.
Since ancient times, people have used weapons to hunt and fight (sometimes against invaders and other times to conquer other lands).
Masks give meaning to dance, both as ritual and as entertainment. They are the sign of the cohesion of the group – considered an essential element of the culture of that continent.
Music is another cultural element that is crucial and represents human harmony.
We feature these three elements: weapons, masks and music.
