Photo Feature by Elio Delgado Valdes
HAVANA TIMES – The Cuban National Ballet performed several works at the capital’s National Theater on March 15: El mercader y la esclava (The merchant and the slave), La flauta mágica (The magic flute) and Desnuda luz del Amor (The naked light of love), De un Hilo (from a string) and the Gran Pas De Deux Classique. HT was on hand to capture images of their performance.

From the photo of the pas de deux, it looks like the bailarina is Viengsay Valdes. She is the National Ballet of Cuba’s prima bailerina. She is a world class dancer and beautiful and intelligent. It is anybody’s guess why she is still in Cuba.
