The Cuban Summer Came to an End
Photo Feature by Luis Enrique González Muñoz
HAVANA TIMES — Cuba is an eternal summer, they say. And it has seemed that way in recent years from the continuous warm weather and the winter that has been almost nil. But as far as the organized summer activities go there are limits.
This limit was marked recently in the Plaza Vieja Square and the Julian del Casal cultural center, almost at the end of the season. The event included a parade of dogs from the Chihuahua Club of Cuba, which included a marriage, traditional dances and contemporary dance and a fashion show with a display of summer designs. After two months of intense heat, but fun for many and hard work for others, the official summer season concluded in Cuba.
