Actor Cesar Evora Visiting Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, Jan 9 — Cesar Evora, a popular film and television actor in Cuba and a major star in Mexican telenovelas, is currently visiting the island, according to a report in the Cubadebate website.

This past Friday, Evora met with teachers, administrators and students from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), where he graduated from its Theater Arts College in 1986.

“It’s nice to return to ISA after so many years,” said the actor, adding, “This reunion was very special.”

After a bourgeoning career in Cuban cinema — with films like Cecilia, Amada, Un hombre de existo and La Bella del Alhambra — Evora settled in Mexico, where he quickly gained popularity.
