Cuban & U.S. Actors Join in Theatre

HAVANA TIMES, Dec. 7 – Cuban and U.S. actors joined in the Cuban capital to perform the work The Closest Farthest Away, an attempt to promote collaboration between both nations, according to its production director Chi-Wang Yang, reported IPS.

The director spoke to the press covering the 31st Havana Film Festival, which will take place in the island through December 13.

Cuba is the only country in the Americas that the US government forbids its citizens from visiting except with a special Treasury Deptartment license.  It also maintains a half-century old economic blockade on the island to try and force a regime change.
