The Wolf, the Forest and The New Man
HAVANA TIMES — The Cuban theater group Blanco y Negro just performed the play El Lobo, El Bosque y El Hombre nuevo (The Wolf, the Forest and The New Man) by writer Senel Paz for the 510th time.
The troupe first performed the play 20 years ago at a National Monologue Festival. Actor Jorge Luis Lopez wrote the script, directed and acted in the performance.
The story line of the play was used in the making of the 1994 award winning film Fresa y Chocolate (Strawberry and Chocolate).
Synopsis: David, a young communist, enters into a friendship with Diego, who is both religious and gay.
