Fire devastates forest area in eastern Cuba

HAVANA TIMES, March 16 – A fire of large proportions consumed some 700 hectares of forest in Mayarí, a mountainous region in the eastern province of Holguín, reported IPS. The fire was caused by the work being carried out in a dam under construction.
