Winter conditions continue in Havana…

By Adrian Fuentes

HAVANA TIMES – Cuba and adjacent seas continue under the influence of continental-origin migratory high-pressure systems. This system continues to favor stable atmospheric conditions in Havana, thereby limiting the occurrence of precipitation. Satellite images show the predominance of partly cloudy skies across much of the capital. For the rest of the day, anticyclonic influence will continue over Cuban territory, with a cooler, drier air mass that will keep limiting rainfall.

It is forecast that over the coming days mornings will dawn partly cloudy. In the afternoons there will be intervals of clouds and sunshine, becoming cloudier in some inland localities with only scant precipitation. Winds will be from the northeast, shifting to the north starting Sunday with speeds between 15 and 30 kilometers per hour, with the arrival of a new cold air mass to the capital region.

Relative humidity will range from minimum values of 55% to maximums of 85%. Highs will be between 18 and 30ºC (64–86°F) and lows between 14 and 20ºC (57–68°F). Sea surface temperature will be 26ºC (79°F).
