Cuban Parliament Criticizes the Construction Industry
HAVANA TIMES, Dec 23 — One of the commissions of Cuba’s National Assembly of Popular Power (parliament) was dissatisfied yesterday with the low efficiency and poor quality of public works as well as the failure to integrate that industry with the manufacturing of needed equipment.
According to reports in the Granma newspaper today, the legislators were presented with the proposed municipalization of the production of building materials, which was previously approved by the leadership of the National Assembly.
The article also referred to the lack of drugs in pharmacies throughout the country, verified by the commission overseeing that area of the economy.
