Sounds from Havana Jazz Plaza 2015
By Luis Rondón Paz
HAVANA TIMES — From December 17-20, Havana hosted the 31st International Jazz Plaza Festival. This year the event was dedicated to the types of music that over time have been influenced by jazz.
The Cuba Pavilion, the Mella Theater, the Theater the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Factory (FAC), the Plaza Cultural Center and the Tito Junco Hall of the Bertolt Brecht Cultural Complex, among other locations in Havana, presented the best of Jazz produced by musicians from Cuba and foreign guest artists.
Here are some videos I took at the event.

Luis,
Thank you very much for posting your videos. I was at the 2015 jazz festival celebrating my father’s 80th birthday–he is a jazz maniac. My father, mother, two brothers and I had a wonderful time in Cuba. The people were warm and friendly and the music was spectacular. We all look forward to returning to Cuba for more touring and great music. I’d love to see more videos from the jazz festival if you have them; or let us know if you know where more videos have been posted (there’s not much on YouTube yet).
Be well.
Regards,
