Eighty-three arrests on Human Rights Day

HAVANA TIMES, Dec. 15 – Cuban authorities arrested 83 persons on December 10, the majority of them at their homes, during International Human Rights Day, said Elizardo Sánchez, president of the Cuban Commission of Human Rights and National Reconciliation.  That day the Ladies in White, wives and relatives of political prisoners, were also surrounded by government followers when they marched through the streets of the island’s capital, reported IPS.

    You simply cannot put something someone said as if it was the absolute truth in a headline. That’s brown journalism.

    The headline should be “Eighty-three arrests on Human Rights Day, Elizardo Sánchez said” or something like that.
