Poetic Song with Heidy Igualada
HAVANA TIMES, Jan. 9 – Composer, guitarist and singer Heidy Igualada will be presented on Friday, January 15, at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo (the headquarters of the Cuban Book Institute) at 4:00 p.m.
During her career, she has shared the stage with important artists, among them Marta Valdes, Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, Sara Gonzalez, Anabel Lopez, Marta Campos, Rita del Prado, Jorge Garcia, Gerardo Alfonso, Lazara Ribadavia, Ariel Diaz and the string quartet of the Superior Institute of Art (ISA).
Her songs are of a soft, sweet and lively poetic style, free of the violent tones typical of this modern era; yet, nor are they hermetic metaphors insulated from the world us. Her poetry is clear, finding examples of daily tenderness that we —absorbed in our day-to-day routines— sometimes fail to perceive.
