Trump Admin to Send Asylum Seekers to Wait in El Salvador

HAVANA TIMES – In immigration news, a new rule is set to go into effect which would send some asylum seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border to El Salvador. This instead of letting them receive humanitarian protection in the U.S.

The Trump administration implemented similar deals with Guatemala and Honduras. Immigrant and human rights advocates say the policy puts already-vulnerable migrants in dangerous situations.
