US Blocks Funds for Cuba AIDS Prevention

HAVANA TIMES, March 12 — Cuba demanded that the United States release more than 4.2 million dollars from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS and Tuberculosis dedicated to the island, which were blocked by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of that country’s Department of the Treasury, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investments Orlando Hernández affirmed, reported IPS.
