Guantanamo Wins Pitchers Duel over Granma

HAVANA TIMES, March 30 — Guantanamo won a pitchers’ duel 2-1 over Granma on Wednesday to take a 3-2 lead in their Eastern Division best-of-seven series of the Cuban baseball playoffs.   Lander Moreira went 7.1 innings to get the win with relief help from Yoanis Turcas.  Alberto Soto took the loss giving up Guantanamo’s two first inning runs.

In the West, Cienfuegos defeated Havana 8-5 to take a commanding 3-1 lead in their series.
