Cuba Loses 9-0 to USA in Youth Baseball
HAVANA TIMES, August 29 — The United States youth baseball team had an easy time on Sunday defeating Cuba 9-0 in the title game of the IBAF 16U Baseball World Championship 2011.
Keegan Thompson shut down the Cuban offense allowing only four hits and a walk for a complete game shutout allowing the US to repeat as the champs. At one point he retired 16 consecutive batters and struck out 12 in the nine innings.
The USA started off the scoring with four runs in the first inning and never looked back.
In the bronze medal game Japan defeated Mexico 8-7.

Why is it that Cuba has to be number one in everything baseball or else the players are treated like lame losers. The article doesn’t even bother to congratulate the boys for taking home a Silver Medal!!!!
I’d call the author a sore loser if I thought that winning second place equated to losing.
