HAVANA TIMES – The nearly three hundred year old University of Havana, is a symbol for all Cuban university students and graduates, even if we have completed our studies at other universities. This was the first university established in Cuba, and has a great history.
Passed through its classrooms and highlighted as well as teachers and students, as illustrious Cuban Félix Varela, Enrique José Varona, Julio Antonio Mella, Rubén Martínez Villena, José Antonio Echeverría, Carlos de la Torre, Salvador de la Torre, Fidel Castro, Julio Fernandez Bulte, Delio Carreras, among many others whose list is endless.
In its Aula Magna have lectured and given talks foreign presidents who have visited our country, scientists and intellectuals of world renown. Its majestic staircase and architectural magnificence of its main buildings make it a must stop for visiting Cubans or foreigners.
