Assange Criticizes US Blockade on Cuba
HAVANA TIMES — Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, criticized on Thursday the ongoing half-century US blockade against Cuba during a video conference held in Havana and London.
According to Cubahora digital magazine, Assange said his organization “has learned from the island’s efforts to combat US aggression,” and expressed solidarity with the cause of the four Cuban agents imprisoned in the US.
The dialogue closed a workshop taught by Pedro Miguel Arce, columnist for the Mexican daily La Jornada, and with the participation of journalists, journalism students and bloggers from different Cuban cities.
