Bronze for Cuban Rower in World Cup
HAVANA TIMES — Cuban rower Angel Fournier won a bronze medal at the Lucerne World Cup on Sunday. His time was 6:44.24 minutes in the singles open category, reported JIT online.
Fournier crossed the first 500 meters in fourth place, reaching third by the one thousand meter mark and second at 1,500, before arriving third at the two kilometer finish line.
The Cuban athlete, seventh at the London 2012 Olympics was passed in the Swiss event by Czech Ondrei Synek (gold) and Germany’s Marcel Hacker (Silver).
